Identify the source and revision. Confirm which import, score sheet, or recorded correction is authoritative. Review the affected participant and stage. Check identity, division, penalties, time, points, and any supporting evidence. Apply a correction with a reason. Record the new value and why it supersedes the previous revision. Recalculate and review standings. Confirm the correction changes only the intended result before publishing. Communicate the revision. Publish enough provenance for affected competitors to understand what changed, who had authority, and how to raise a remaining discrepancy.

Do not repair history by erasing it. Corrections should create a traceable revision. Preserve the original source and the reason for the change.
