Build a centerfire field-match card
Original discussionSeparate known from estimated data. Label organizer-provided distances, personally ranged distances, and provisional estimates differently. A solver cannot improve uncertain range data. Preserve target and engagement order. Carry enough description to identify each target under time pressure, including repeated targets or positions. Review elevation and flight behavior. Check units, elevation, remaining velocity, time of flight, and Mach for discontinuities or unexpected transitions. Prepare a wind bracket. Record a defensible center call and useful lower or upper cases rather than presenting one forecast as certainty. Make the card field durable. Use a legible layout, retain a backup, and replace every copy when profile, atmosphere, wind plan, target distance, or stage revision changes.
Follow match rules. This guide does not replace the match's rules for ranging, equipment, data use, or electronic devices. Confirm what is permitted before relying on a workflow.
