Carry a small, proven set of bags, tools, spares, weather protection, and data backups matched to the event.

Start with failure consequences
List what would end a stage or day: unsafe equipment state, loose critical fastener, dead required device, lost data, unusable magazine, exposure, dehydration, or no way to carry the load.
Carry only compatible tools and spares
Bring the exact bits, torque references, batteries, magazines, and small parts your proven equipment requires. A generic tool pile can create new damage.
Standardize support equipment
Choose a primary front and rear support you have practiced with. Add specialized equipment only when the rules, course, and demonstrated benefit justify it.
Protect information
Keep accepted data on the primary device plus a simple printed, written, or exported fallback labeled with profile, units, and revision.
