Before you start

  • A PDF, image, or pasted stage description
  • An active ballistic profile
  1. Open the COF workspace

Use the FreeDOPE Course of fire view. Existing durable documents and stages remain attached to the active workspace.

  2. Provide a source

Attach a PDF or image, or paste enough stage text to identify target distances and engagement order.

  3. Record the source revision

Keep the matchbook date, revision label, or organizer notice with the draft. A corrected matchbook should become a traceable new review, not a silent overwrite.

  4. Generate a review draft

The generated card is a proposal. It does not become the active card until you review and accept it.

  5. Review every stage and target

Compare names, distances, order, and warnings with the original source. Correct or remove anything uncertain.

  6. Adopt the reviewed card

Use the reviewed card only after the draft agrees with the authoritative match document.

If: The review draft cannot be generated.

Confirm the document finished attaching or paste at least one complete stage description. You can continue building the COF manually when the AI service is unavailable.

Expected result

The active FreeDOPE card contains only the stages and targets you reviewed and accepted.
